A Clear Solution: Electromagnetic Fluid Filtration
Process Liquid Electromagnetic filtration is a simple, cost-effective way, to remove suspended magnetic contaminants from process streams. Although originally created to remove magnetite (Fe3O4),it is effective for removing any strongly magnetic contaminant. It can also remove paramagnetic materials that can form spinel crystals or ferrites with the magnetite. Creates Efficient Filtration More than 95% of magnetic contaminants in a stream can be removed when using a Milhous Electromagnetic Fluid Filter. In fact, depending on the conditions of the application, 90% of the total iron and approximately 50% of the paramagnetic particles (such as copper, nickel and cobalt) are removed as well. The amount of strongly magnetic particles in the process fluid will greatly affect the filter’s operating efficiency.
